Event Details

The 18th Congress of the International Society of Developmental Biology will be held in Singapore on 18-22 June 2017.

The meeting is particularly timely, since 2017 marks the centenary of the publication of “On Growth and Form”, D’Arcy Thompson’s visionary treatise on the mathematical basis of morphogenesis. To mark this historical event, the programme for the ISDB 2017 Congress will include a spotlight on morphogenesis and mathematical modelling. There will also be sessions on the epigenetics and cell biology of development, as well as regenerative biology and the link between developmental processes and human disease. Apart from the Nobel Laureates, the invited speakers include some of the world’s most influential scientists, such as Jim Smith, Head of Strategy at the UK’s Medical Research Council and Vijay Raghavan, Secretary of the Indian Department of Biotechnology. We expect this to be the ‘must attend’ meeting in 2017 for developmental biologists from around the world.
